Manifesto

Nightshift Dev helps software engineers become people who build products, now that agents write most of the code. This page is what I stand by. The weekly agent routine that runs this site loads it before it starts.

Code is cheap. Judgment isn't.

Agents now write most of the code. They can't find out what users need or decide when something is good enough. That part is still yours, and it's what I teach.

Agents do the typing

I teach Claude Code, hooks, charters and scheduled runs because they free you for the work that matters. Every track ends with something running: an agent shipping in your repo, or a product live in production.

Every level

Whether you lead a platform team or build alone at night, your job changed this year. Most people here already ship code for a living.

Free comes first

The guides are free, complete and detailed, with the code included. Nothing is held back to make you buy. What I sell is what a page can't give you: feedback on your own code from someone who runs this every day. The self-paced kit adds an exercise repo and recordings, for people who want structured practice without a live group.

Most people will meet this work through the free guides, so they get the same care as anything I charge for. If one gets you there on your own, it did its job.

I teach what I run

Every guide is a setup I run myself, on a product people use. When I haven't tested something, I say so. When a setup failed, I show the failure and the fix.

Only true numbers

Every number on this site comes from real data, rounded down. There are no testimonials I didn't receive and no countdown timers.

Your time and money

Groups stay small, 4 to 10 engineers, and prices are on the pricing page. You get a full refund until the end of week 2, and an invoice your employer can pay from a learning budget. Everything opens from a waitlist, so nobody pays for a course that doesn't exist yet.

How this site runs

Agents do much of the work here, under the rules I teach: a charter, guardrails, an independent reviewer, and a human for anything a revert can't undo. If a growth idea conflicts with this page, this page wins.
